The Foundation will award scholarships for post-secondary study to those graduates of Dickenson County High Schools who have outstanding academic records, regardless of financial need.
To qualify, a student must have a high school grade point average of 4.0 and must have completed the requirements for the Academic Diploma or have achieved a score above 1300 on the SAT. These scholarships will normally be for $2,000 for the first year.
These students may apply for renewal of the scholarship in subsequent years, provided the student maintains at least a 2.5 grade point average and remains in good standing with the academic institution.
It is expected that no more than three new scholarships will be awarded each year.
